Delivering Integrated Programs/Project Delivery for Counties and Municipalities

To achieve true sustainability standards and the associated economic and environmental benefits, a Municipality or County must offer more than simply an outcropping of new green buildings. Rather, it must transform to a place where the viability and success of all infrastructure is measured by its limited net impact on society and the environment, while adhering to fiscal goals.

For many Counties, such change is in the preliminary stage, with critical questions yet to be answered: What will it take to be carbon neutral?...What role do we play in this transformation?….How can we lead it? Others are further along. They have established goals, have created an initial plan know, generally speaking, where to start. But they require guidance in making and implementing the most appropriate and calculated decisions. Read More »

ESP Roadmap to Efficiency and Sustainability Step 4

Before executing an energy efficiency strategy, you must have a clear vision. Reno ESP Manager Eric Scheidinger explains why.

8 Megawatts.

That's how much solar energy Reno ESP has helped generate, to date, for clients. In terms of CO2 offsets, that's equivalent to taking 800 cars off the road for an entire year.

Note: 2kW of solar = 2,200 lbs reduction of CO2 per year; 1 car = 11,000 lbs. of CO2 per year. Therefore 1MW = 1,100,000 lbs reduction of CO2* per year. So 1MW offsets 100 cars-worth of CO2 emissions per year.

*Solving for (x) lbs.
